Nu Finish ceramic spray coating is a non-greasy formula that leaves your car with a long-lasting shine. It is very easy to apply and can be used on many different surfaces. In my experience it worked better than expected and at a great price. Every year or so a new sealant comes out and they just keep getting better. This one is definitely leading pack in longevity in my opinion. In this review, I will discuss the benefits of Nu Finish ceramic spray coating, how to use it, and my personal experience with it.
Benefits of Nu Finish ceramic spray coating
There are many benefits to using Nu Finish Spray Ceramic Coating. Some of the benefits include:
- Long-lasting shine: Nu Finish ceramic spray coating claims to last for up to 100 washes. I have seen a few people successfully do the 100 wash test online. However it may be lower out of the controlled environment, still very impressive and probably the leader in sprays applications.
- Durability: Nu Finish ceramic spray coating is turning out to be quite durable, definitely in the top 3 spray sealants. It wont stop scratches and such but does help protect against chemical contamination/ etching
- Water repellency: Nu Finish ceramic spray coating does do a great job of water beading.
- UV protection: Nu Finish ceramic spray coating helps to protect your car’s paint from UV rays, which helps to prevent oxidization. Without lab testing it is hard to tell how it compares to others in UV performance.
How to Use Nu Finish ceramic spray coating
Nu Finish Spray Ceramic Coating is one of the easiest spray sealants to use in my opinion. The instructions on the back of the product state that it can be sprayed on to a wet or dry vehicle. This is a big win in my book since it makes the drying process easier. NuFinish also states that you can buff it dry after and manage any high spots with a damp towel/ buff to finish. Also it mentions that it can be used on glass, plastics, metal and matte paint finishes.
I do not know if the performance is the same for plastics, glass and such as the paint. Something is better than nothing. We did test it on vinyl wrapped cars and it proved to work well on that. You can cehck out the article here.
Does Nu Finish ceramic spray work like a wax?
I would say yes in the sense that it does coat and protect the surface. Waxes come in many different forms, paste being the oldest type. For a long time spray sealants were not that great but each year they have improved. Now I would say they are just as good or better than the Carnauba waxes we started with many years ago. This is definitely one of longer lasting spray on sealants I have ever seen.
I recently purchased the Nu Finish Ceramic Spray Coating and so far it is probably the easiest spray sealant to use. On the handful of cars I did try it out on I didn’t even have to buff down any high spots or go back over the car with another more dry micro fiber. I like the fact that it can be used on a wet car or with a wet rag, it makes things much easier to manage. Some sealants require quite a bit of elbow grease to get the high spot down or even coverage.
It does work on vinyl wrapped cars better than I thought, even though some vinyl manufacturers don’t recommend spray waxes to be used. For glass and metal I cant confirm how long the coating lasted but it did bead water for a couple of weeks. I did have it on the front windshield but the wipers removed it after running them for a bit, as with any coating you put on the windshield. Overall this spray sealant is in the top 3 for me and will be keeping it in the garage.
